Closing Training Session Signup

If trainees are allowed to sign up for training sessions, use the training session Open and Close signup options. Only training sessions with a status of Signup Open can be closed for sign up.

  1. From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Home tab at the top of the window.
  2. In the Training Management section of the list, select Find > Training Session.
    Result: A list of training sessions is displayed.
  3. Click the Training No. link of the training session signup to be closed.
    Result: The training session is displayed.
  4. Click the Roster link.
  5. Click Action > Close Signup.
  6. Check the following, if applicable:
  7. Accept Entries Waiting for Manager’s Approval - If checked, the trainee will be accepted into the roster even if the person is one who always requires manager approval. If not checked, the person is not added to the roster.
  8. Accept Entries Exceeding Maximum Enrollment - If checked, the trainer accepts all entries, even if they exceed the maximum enrollment entered in the training session. If not checked, the last persons who signed up, if exceeding the maximum enrollment, will be dropped from the roster for the training session.
  9. Click the Save button.
    Result: The training session status is now Signup Closed.
